Our Poetry Contest ended on June, 15th. Thank you to all participants.

The Parfums Dusita team is very grateful to have received many wonderful poems under the themes of love and freedom. Perfumes, as well as poetry, awaken human emotions through scent, often triggering strong memories tied to loved ones, the carefree happiness of childhood, and rediscovery.

We have spent a lot of time reading and also consulting famous poets from the USA. They were truly impressed to see many emerging poets from Frangrantica communities around the world.

We selected poems that show imagination, creativity, and a sense of mystery.

We would like to thank you once again for sharing your beautiful and thoughtful poetry.

The prizes to win are:

"My feeling for you

is like a flower

blooming in an empty room.“

-Montri Umavijani

« Love is like flowers blooming in a room. It occupies all the space. I wanted to create a perfume that represents the purity of love and that also fills up the space. My father speaks of the purity of love in one of his poems.

How did I coin the name? When I was younger and playing my violin, I loved to interpret the melody of Edward Elgar called “Salut d’Amour” and I wanted to associate this memory to the new fragrance I composed to represent the fulfilling melody of love.”

MÉLODIE DE L'AMOUR

ISSARA

"Here where the tree once stood,

is now a shelter from ancient rains."

-Montri Umavijani

« During a voyage to the beautiful beach of Krabi, in the south of Thailand, I was walking on the side of a tropical forest near the Andaman ocean. It was a special moment when I felt a gentle breeze blowing between the trees. Suddenly, I had a sense of silence and a wonderful feeling of freedom.

This very special moment is what I tried to communicate when I developed Issara. I started with a Fougère note which is not very common in Asia, but which reminds me of the forests. But I tried to add components which I associate with my love of freedom and nature. I choose for example Clary Sage, Pine and Sandalwood which depict, almost mystically, a tropical forest and the view of sunlight between the leaves.”
